Using an Authenticator App 

To successfully register in Symphony with a Multi-factor Authentication smartphone app, watch the following video or follow the step-by-step instructions.

1. Download an App

Download an Authenticator App from iTunes or Google Play on a smartphone. 

We recommend Google Authenticator (See Figure 1)

It is free, easy to use, and supports multiple accounts. 


2. Use the App

Once installed, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app
  2. Choose scan QR code
  3. Scan the QR code when registering
  4. Verify the account name
  5. Enter the code when prompted
  6. Click Authenticate

A unique code for each Symphony website is required for access. 
Users with multiple Symphony accounts should rename the codes to tell them apart.



Scanning a QR Code After Registration

Users that can still sign in, can use the Profile Icon to scan the QR code in the Credentials screen.

  • Contact us for a QR code if sign in isn't possible (See Figure 2).

A QR code requires an Authenticator App from iTunes or Google Play on a mobile phone.

We recommend Google Authenticator. It is free, easy to use, and supports multiple accounts.

 

Once installed, follow these steps:

  1. Open the app
  2. Choose scan QR code 
  3. Scan the QR code we provide upon request
  4. Verify the account name
  5. Go to the correct Symphony website
  6. Enter the credentials
  7. Click Sign In
  8. Return to the MFA app on the mobile phone
  9. Enter the code from the matching account
  10. Click Authenticate

 

Users with multiple Symphony accounts should rename the codes in the app to reflect the use of the One-Time Passcode (OTP). A unique code for each Symphony website is required for access.
