Responding to a Solicitation within Symphony

Modified on Thu, 7 Nov at 12:33 PM

To assemble proposal(s) in Symphony, complete these steps:

1. Complete the Company Profile

The My Company link allows users to build the company asset library before proposing to a solicitation (see Figure 1)

  • The company asset library forms the building blocks for proposal(s).
  • It is reusable across all proposal submissions (see Industry Support).

Figure 1. The My Company link is always on the top menu bar.

2. Start Submission(s)

When the Solicitation is open to submissions, users can "Start Submission" for the desired area or "Continue Submission" to complete a proposal in multiple sittings or review before submission (see Figure 2).

3. Add Assets

Pick the Teaming Partners

Adding Team Members or MRCLs to a proposal uses the Team Members or MRCLs tab and the select box.

Once added, the Business Factors on the Proposal Overview page will show half-shading to represent the claims coming from the members (regardless of how many have a factor) (see Managing Business Factors).

Pick the Projects

  1. Adding Projects to a proposal uses the Projects tab and the select box (See Documenting Projects/Past Performance).
  2. Using the Begin or Modify to claim Performance Factors helps users receive points for solicitation-specific experience (see Figure 4)
    • Users must link to a file for reference and should provide reference “tags” (see Tagging Documents).
    • Tags are comments users create and add to the supporting documents.
    • Users can reference multiple documents and select or deselect these references as needed.

4. Check Out the Live Score

The Live Score button at the top of the screen allows users to review the Scorecard, point values, and number of points while adding company assets to an offer (see Figure 5)

  • Remember, the My Company link is for completing the company profile before starting a submission(s) and adding the assets (see Managing References in My Company).

The Review Tab provides a more detailed look into the SAM Data, Scorecard, and the company assets included in an offer (see Figure 5).
